Have you advertised your restaurant on Facebook before and didn’t get good results? Maybe you’ve tried the “Boost Post” button on your restaurant page, only to realize that it didn’t bring people in. It’s not that Facebook advertising won’t work for your restaurant, the problem is that the boost option is just an easy cash grab for Facebook. There is a proper way of advertising on the platform that yields great results for restaurants, but it can be difficult and time-consuming for a restaurant owner who has to focus almost entirely on operations.
How do I know this? My name is Jocelyn and I run Get Results Agency along with my dad. We combined over 20 years of web development and digital marketing knowledge, with our work in coordinating events and marketing for restaurants. We’ve had first-hand experience on the same issues you face with your restaurant, and after months of research and testing, we’ve figured out how to get consistent results with Facebook ads.
So let’s take a look at the 3 main reasons you shouldn’t boost your posts… And what you should do instead.
We get it, you want to get the word out that your restaurant is THE place to go to, but when you let Facebook boost your posts all they do is show them to as many people as possible within the budget you specify. Really, that’s it! It’s not any different than handing out 1000 flyers to random strangers hoping they will come flocking in. Also, did you know that most online sales don’t come from just one ad?
Research shows that up to 80% of online sales are made after your potential customers have seen your content at least 3 times (Up to 6-9 times is more like it). So how do you do that? By running a re-targeting campaign to show more content to people who have already seen your previous ads. You just can’t do this with boosted posts!
While you are able to set a target audience for your boosted post, the options are very limited and will not produce an ad that will bring your ideal customers into your restaurant. In order to run a successful ad campaign you need to test several factors, and adjust as you go. Being limited to setting a target audience just once turns your ad into a guessing game, and more often than not, you will end up losing money in the process.
What you want to do is test different offers, different target audiences and different content. Simply boosting your post won’t allow you to do all of this; not properly anyway. Testing is by far the most important factor in your ads, and if done properly, will ensure your restaurant will always have plenty of new customers.
Let’s say you want to run an ad with a special lunch offer for people working in offices around your restaurant… Would it make sense for it to run at 8:00pm on a Saturday? Of course not!
With boosted posts you won’t be able to control the days and times your promotions will run, and a large sum of your ad budget will be wasted by showing your ads to people at all times; versus having them run only during specific days and times.
Having control in all aspects of your ads makes all the difference, and ad times could have a big impact on your campaign success. When you combine the right offer, with the right audience, at the right time you have the recipe to bring in lots of new customers into your restaurant; many of which will become regulars and will refer your place to friends and family.
All that makes sense, but it seems complicated and expensive…
Well it doesn’t have to be!
We want to help restaurants like yours fill their dining rooms and turn new customers into regulars. We know margins are low and expenses are high, so we are running an introductory offer for you to try our ad services for 10 days so you can see how many customers we bring you during this time.
Your investment for this trial would be only $100 for our services (That’s $10 a day) + the money you pay Facebook directly for the ads. It’s a steal for the amount of new business we will generate for you.
Does that sound like a fair deal?
Call us up or message us if you are interested and we’ll be happy to talk to you. You will talk directly with me or my dad. But remember, we are a small agency so we can only take on 12 restaurants at a time. Some spots are already taken, so if you want to try us out give us a call and we’ll be happy to talk to you 🙂
